Drawing Is Free: Vol 1

During Covid I have loved going to Paris on Mondays!

It's actually an online live-drawing zoom initiative created by talented and generous Chloe Briggs, at a time when faces are part of what we missed.

A tiny text contribution from me is published in Drawing Is Free Vol 1, just launched.

You can download the book here:

New Year wishes and news about the playwriting workshop at Geelong Library 'Dome'

Wishing everyone as good a New Year as possible. Our world has changed and our lives have changed enormously during the pandemic. We are all hoping that 2022 will be a better year for everyone on our precious planet. Let's bring as many good news stories as we can to each other this year.

Here's one to start with: Late 2021, I had the pleasure of working with a great group of writers in my playwriting workshop at the Geelong Library Dome. Not only was it wonderful to be face-to-face with a lovely bunch of new people, the extra good news is that members from this group are so inspired about writing for theatre that they have formed their own playwriting group. This is the type of initiative that really excites me! It will be so interesting to follow their growth and projects. Good luck to you all!

21 November 2021:

Thank you Geelong Regional Libraries for inviting me to your beautiful Dome to present this playwriting workshop. There were interesting, enthusiastic, talented people! There were ideas! We had fun! And we worked!

Event by Geelong Regional Libraries

Duration: 5 hr
In this one day workshop, you will be introduced to strategies and ideas to help you move forward in your script writing project.

  • Iris Walshe-Howling (director): If you are interested in playwriting don't miss this. Janet Brown is an extraordinary, inspirational Australian playwright. Love her work. ❤
