I am delighted that I was at the ceremony and invited to join this wonderful team for their photos. It is fantastic to see them all recognised for their beautiful work. Congratulations APA.... 'The Hope Song' in Geelong
Iris Walshe-Howling and Janine McKenzie took their Anglesea Performing Arts ensemble to Geelong Courthouse Theatre for their third season of my play 'The Hope Song' on 12 and 13 October and again impressed new audiences. Musician Tim Hulsman added his soulful, exhilarating voice and slide guitar to the show and gave it another new dynamic.
I am so proud of them all, and sincere thanks to Jacqui Pierce and Deb Haygarth from Women With Disabilities Victoria - Barwon Hub for partnering with APA for this memorable season. It was great to have Jack Heath CEO SANE Australia at opening night with his continued support.
The wonderful APA team:
Director Iris Walshe Howling, Jacqui Pierce and Janet
Warm and fuzzy! Actor Nikki Watson, Jack Heath CEO SANE Australia and Iris Walshe Howling

APA's The Hope Song: FULL HOUSES at La Mama Courthouse
What a blast! Take a bow everyone from Anglesea Performing Arts (APA). The La Mama Courthouse season in February 2018 sold out in advance of opening night...
The audiences appreciated the show as much as the Surfcoast audiences did in October. For this special season, SANE Australia partnered with APA.
It was an interesting change to see the songs presented by Kieran Tobin, a wonderful singer and musician, instead of the lovely community choir that performed in Anglesea in October. Directors Iris Walshe-Howling and Janine McKenzie, thank you so much for your inspiring and sensitive interpretation of my script. Where to from here, I wonder...

The show will be on in February at Carlton Courthouse, 349 Drummond St. If you didn't see it on the Surfcoast, now's your chance. 6 performances, opening Feb 21. It's going to be lovely to be back at the Courthouse, where it all started with my very first show, many moons ago in 2004. Bookings ph 9347 6142 or www.lamama.com.au.
